Throw Everything into One Pot

Fresh natural food for busy people

by Gregory Kozlovsky

Adzuki beans favored in Japan and millet, one of the favorite Russian staples, are combined.

2 portions

1/2 cup adzuki beans

2/3 cup millet
1 tbsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt

1 green pepper

Soy sauce tamari according to taste

Place beens in a pot and soak overnight.

Next day add millet, finely chopped ginger, salt and cook for 10 minutes adding water so that khakamada stays covered with water.

Add chopped pepper and cook for 35 minutes more.

Soaking can be replaced by cooking adzuki for 1 hour and 15 minutes before adding other ingredients.

Before serving season with tamari.
