1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup oat flakes
3/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup ground or chopped walnuts

Dissolve molasses in 3/4 cup of warm water. Stir in salt and spices.
Pour the liquid into the flour and mix carefully.
Add oat flakes, raisins, walnuts and mix. Keep the mixture under room
temperature for several hours or overnight.
Heat oven to 175 C. Make round cookies about 1.5 cm thick. Bake 15-20
minutes.
